The Daily Dose 1-1-11

Psalm 1:1a-6 Blessed is the one… whose delight is in the law of the LORD, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers.

When we are at a new starting point, there is a tinge of excitement. There is hope that what is to come will be better than what was. As we approach a new year, remember the foundation of God’s blessings comes through our delight in Him and His Word.

Father, as I begin this new year, let me do so with delight – an inexplicable joy – in my relationship with You. Let my delight in You and Your word guide my thoughts and actions. I ask for Your blessing as I serve as Your instrument to bless others. Amen
