Daily Dose 5-9-13

Psalm 106:28-31 They yoked themselves to the Baal of Peor
and ate sacrifices offered to lifeless gods; they aroused the LORD’s anger by their wicked deeds, and a plague broke out among them.
But Phinehas stood up and intervened, and the plague was checked.
This was credited to him as righteousness
for endless generations to come.
How often do we stand up and intervene? Our culture has programmed us to be politically correct and embrace all beliefs, even if they discount the One true God and His son Jesus. The political correctness we should show is to lovingly embrace the people – never their beliefs. Our goal as Christians is to reach souls, bringing them to Christ for salvation. We need to love the lost, but also take a stand. God never tires of taking a stand for us!
Father, Give me the courage, wisdom and insight to take a stronger stance for You. May my actions show Your love and power and bring others to the cross of Your son. Amen
