Daily Dose 11-5-12

Colossians 3:1-2 (MSG) So if you're serious about living this new resurrection life with Christ, act like it. Pursue the things over which Christ presides. Don't shuffle along, eyes to the ground, absorbed with the things right in front of you. Look up, and be alert to what is going on around Christ—that's where the action is. See things from his perspective.

This scripture was presented as “something to chew on” by Jonathan Scott, a parent who was in the fight for his son’s life against cancer at the time. What a testimony to the way God can use scripture to show us how we should live life from His perspective! There will constantly be distractions. We will face burdens and hardships that seem insurmountable. But with God, all things are possible! We do not walk this life alone – we have our Savior, Jesus Christ, who walked before us to show the way! We have the inner joy, comfort, peace and strengthening from the Holy Spirit to help us endure hard times. Look beyond your current stress of the day – no matter how challenging. Find where Jesus is working around you and focus on that. Jump in to be His instrument in a world that so desperately needs the hope and salvation He brings!

Father, Forgive me for allowing distractions and struggles to get in the way of how You want me to live. Help me see circumstances through Your eyes! Change my perspective! I love You! Amen!
