John 11:35 Jesus wept.
Two simple words demonstrated the empathy and compassion of our Savior. Two simple words teach us how to be empathetic and compassionate with those around us. We all want to do and say the right things to bring comfort to those suffering loss. But sometimes all they need is for us to join them in their tears.
Father, My heart aches for those I know dealing with unspeakable grief. I call on You with my tears to bring them the comfort my words can never provide. Intervene with Your spirit to bring strength, comfort and peace. I love You. Amen
