Proverbs 19:11 A person’s wisdom yields patience; it is to one’s glory to overlook an offense.
We are so quick to rush to judgment of someone – especially if their offense is against us. We assume we know their hearts and all the facts; connect the dots and take it personally. This Proverb encourages us to be patient with people and not assume you know all the details. God is pleased when we believe the best in others without quickly assuming the worst.
Father, I struggle at times with connecting too many dots. Teach me to patiently trust You and patiently believe the best in others.
