Ephesians 3:16-21 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.
Paul’s prayer for the Ephesians extends to us today. All of the things he prays for require some action on our part to be received. How do we receive the Spirit’s power and strength? Through faith in Christ. How are we to know the depth of Christ's love and receive the fullness of God? By being rooted in love with other believers. How will we receive immeasurably more than we ask or imagine? By allowing the Holy Spirit to work within us. Through our lives rooted in love and filled with the Spirit, we will bring glory to Christ and His church for generations to come. What a powerful prayer of hope and encouragement!
Father, Perfect my love for others. Fill me with Your Spirit. Remove the obstacles from my heart the prevent Your Spirit from doing His work in me. I love You! Amen
