Romans 14:13 Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in the way of a brother or sister.
Freedom in Christ should never override respect for those whose convicted beliefs give them less freedom. On the other hand, those who condemn or judge others harshly over disputable matters are in jeopardy of elevating their positions to that of God. When it comes to the minutia of our walk as Christians, we can borrow a line from secular music – R-E-S-P-E-C-T ! We need to be in close relationship with others and practice accountability with one another. The line between accountability and judgment is usually found in the prayerful time with Christ and loving respect for others. Flaunting freedoms or binding laws can each cause others to become exasperated with their faith. Becoming so focused on loving like Christ often dissolves the minutia away. Judge less – love more!
Father, Give me Your wisdom to discern between matters of dispute and areas where You call me to be bold and stand for Your truth. Keep me far away from the pursuit of Your judgment seat and closer to the cross of Your Son, Jesus. I love You! Amen

Romans 13:8-10 Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law. The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
The Ten Commandments and the Old Law were foundational principles God gave us to prepare us for the fulfillment of the law through Christ. Christ calls us to a higher level of obedience. We don’t steal – not just because it’s wrong – but because we love those we would be stealing from. Love is not always easy. There are people who are not appealing to us, may annoy us, treat us badly, or care less if we exist or not. Christ didn’t come to do what was easy; and he doesn’t expect us to look for easy. He expects us to see people through His eyes and through the sacrifice He made for them. Notice how you view people today – love more!
Father, Love is tough sometimes. I will try to live today as You have challenged me before. To love the unlovely and those who reject or disregard my love for them is how Christ is seen through me. I love You! Amen
